Using data from DeadCellZones, Holafly ranked the worst cities and states for cell signal dead zones, based on the number of cellular complaints per one million people. Figures are accurate as of October 2024.
Residents of Cincinnati, Ohio, face the poorest cell signal overall, with 534 dead zone complaints made for every million people. Boulder, Colorado (425) and Green Bay, Wisconsin (407) follow behind.
On the state level, Hawaii, Maine and Vermont rank worst overall, with residents complaining at least 49 percent more about bad signal than cell phone users in other states.
