At the time of writing, there are almost 30,000 centi-millionaires — those with wealths of $100 million or more — worldwide. And, according to a 2024 report, some locations across the globe are considerably more popular with these ultra-rich individuals than others.
Using research by Henley & Partners, which tracked the wealth of over 150,000 high-net-worth people, Visual Capitalist mapped the global cities that are home to the most centi-millionaires in 2024.
The top three cities for centi-millionaires are all located in the US. New York City leads the way, with 744 residents possessing $100 million or more in liquid investable assets, followed by the San Francisco Bay Area (675) and Los Angeles (496). Note: the SF Bay Area includes the city of San Francisco and other Silicon Valley counties.
London, UK, boasts the fourth-highest number of centi-millionares, 370, while Beijing, China, rounds off the top five with 347.
