April 20th is a very weird and ridiculous holiday that's ramped up over the past decades, both on-and-offline. It seems like the best thing to do on 4/20 is just veg out on a couch, eat snacks and watch television. To aid you in those endeavors, we have some handy suggestions for you to enjoy, a mix of live action and animated comedies. These aren't all about smoking pot, and will take you a trip even if you're sober.

'D'oh-In' in the Wind' — 'The Simpsons' (S10E06, 1998)

George Carlin and Martin Mull play hippies who knew Homer's jailbird mom, and they wind up getting into a hijinks about weed, peyote, Woodstock flashbacks, frisbees, ponchos, organic juice bottling and psychedelic hallucinations. This is also the episode where the secret of Homer J. Simpson is revealed. The "J" stands for... Jay! Not only is this one of the greatest show ever, it's top-tier for when you're head's in the clouds. It's got high brow and low brow humor, fun colors, works for all ages and definitely lends itself to repeat viewing.

'The Good Twin' — 'GLOW' (S02E08)

A collage of the "Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling" skits, vignettes, sketches music videos and fights, this is the culmination of what makes this show so idiosyncratic and special. Every character creates their own storylines, and they all come to life. The they get to be the star of their own little shows, and the entire thing is just bargain bin '80s trash pastiche — at its best. This is hilarious, memorable, unique and filled with so many different parodies and jokes, it's a visual feast and a hell of a roller coaster for anyone who's blitzed out of their minds, or on their way there.

'Big Trouble in Little Sanchez' — 'Rick and Morty' (S02E07)

If the internet is to be believed, "Rick and Morty" is the best show to watch while getting high. My local bodega that sells CBD pills, THC oils and bongs has Rick and Morty graffiti adorning its outside walls, so clearly this sci-fi comedy and marijuana are culturally linked. I like Tiny Rick far better than Pickle Rick, and hope you will too.

'The Gang Gets Invincible' — 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (S03E02)

There were so many good episodes of this inane show to pick from, but I went with Charlie and Frank's LSD arc of taking LSD while tailgating a Philadelphia Eagles open tryout. The McPoyle's show up, always a fan favorite, and Charlie wears the green man suit. Just an all-around fantastic episode of TV, super funny in-jokes about Donovan McNabb, the 2006 Mark Wahlberg film "Invincible" and, of course, you get people getting hit in the face with footballs.

'Large Brother, Where Fart Thou?' — 'Bob's Burgers' (S07E05)

This show is a great hang, just a chill and humorous sitcom that's wholesome, clever and witty. In this one, Bob and Linda accidentally eat some weed cookies, and we get some great Lobsterfest costumes/disguises for Gene and Louise. Honestly, any episode of "Bob's Burgers" would be good to watch high, but I went with this one because of the weed cookie jokes.

'Drive By' — 'Flight of the Conchords' (S01E07)

HBO was never quite the same once it stopped making "Flight of the Conchords." The New Zealand comedy musical duo of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie created pure magic with their stand-up songs, and built quite a legacy for themselves after splitting up, (including an Oscar win for McKenzie). In "Drive By" we get three total bangers, with "Albi the Racist Dragon," "Mutha'uckas" and "Leggy Blonde." This show was so laugh out loud funny and charming, and the animation on Albi the Dragon is just icing on the cake... a cake filled with cannabis.
